Aaron Lewis is one of the top prospects from the Southwest (New Mexico) and an early candidate for TheInsiders.com National Hot 100. Check out his impressive video clips.
is a defensive line prospect from Albuquerque (N.M.) La Cueva High School. Lewis, 6-4 and 260 pounds, could play strong-side defensive end or defensive tackle at the next level. He has a great first step, good quickness, a super motor and great size. Lewis can bull rush you and has some nice moves as well. He uses his hands well and defeats blocks very quickly. Lewis appears to be a good pass rusher and also plays the run extremely well. He moves well laterally and is very quick to the ball once he reads and reacts. Lewis has great footwork and would make an outstanding offensive lineman one day if defense didn't work out for him.
Last season he recorded 89 tackles, 25 1/2 sacks (state record), five passes broken up, two blocked punts, one blocked field goal, and two fumble recoveries.
Check out these five minutes worth of exclusive footage of Lewis. He plays right defensive end in white (#68) and blue (#66). Sometimes he puts his hand down and other times he does not.
